Pediatric Speech -Language, Dyslexia and Reading Therapy
My name is Katie Stanley. I have been an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist for 13 years, specializing in pediatrics. I have worked in a wide range of therapy settings, including outpatient pediatric clinics, private schools, hospitals, and public schools, with a high interest and many trainings in Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Currently, I am completing the therapy level of CALT (Certified Academic Language Therapist) for advanced training in dyslexia. I am trained in the Sequential English Education (SEE) program, a recognized Orton-Gillingham therapeutic approach for dyslexia that is approved and recognized by IDA, IMSLEC, and ALTA.
Beyond my professional life, I am a wife to my supportive husband, Jay, whose encouragement motivates me to chase my dreams. I am also a proud mother of two wonderful kids. My daughter, Sarah, is a rockstar goalie on the soccer field and a talented trombone player in the Jr. High band. My son, Zach, is a bright spirit who loves all things Taylor Swift and dreams of one day performing on Broadway. Zach's journey as a child with special needs has been my lighthouse, guiding me and shaping me into the therapist I am today. Through him, I have learned the true meaning of resilience, patience, and compassion and knowing he is "More Than Able". This clinic is dedicated to him.
